Laundry Love

At Lutheran Church of Our Savior, we believe that the dignity of every person is a reflection of God’s image. Through our partnership with the national Laundry Love movement, we seek to care for our neighbors by providing access to laundering facilities.

Laundry Love partners with churches, social agencies, and local laundromats to offer free washing and drying services to low-income and no-income individuals and families. What begins as a load of laundry often becomes an encounter with compassion, belonging, and hope. It is one way we live out Christ’s command to “love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34).

Laundry Love in Port Washington

Port Washington’s Laundry Love is organized by the Port Jewish Center in collaboration with the Port Washington Clergy Association—of which Lutheran Church of Our Savior is a part.

When & Where:

  • Third Thursday of each month
  • 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (last wash accepted at 7:45 p.m.)
  • Port Washington Super Laundry, 4 Manorhaven Blvd, Port Washington (near the Port Jewish Center)

During these hours, neighbors are welcomed with detergent provided, and machines are started at no cost. Volunteers from local congregations and community groups are present to lend a hand, share conversation, and offer encouragement.
