To Our Parish Members
The presence of children in worship is a gift. They are full members of this community—living reminders of the church’s vitality—and they often teach us profound truths in the simplest ways.
Let’s continue to make this a welcome and safe place for children and for all people. The way adults greet the littlest ones, maintain healthy boundaries, and nurture intergenerational relationships helps shape their faith and formation here.
To Parents
Relax and enjoy - ALL are welcome!
That means you, your children, and everyone who gathers here. We are an intergenerational community, and that is part of what makes the church unique.
Feel free to sit up front
It’s often easier for children to see and hear from the front. If you need more space to move around, you are welcome to explore the back of the sanctuary to find what works for you and your family.
Safe speeds, please
Help your children walk (not run) inside. This keeps them safe and protects older members who may be more vulnerable to falls. It’s a simple way we can care for each other.
Make a joyful noise!
Sing the hymns, pray the prayers, stand and sit, and bring even the youngest children to communion. Children learn the rhythms of worship by participating—and sometimes they show us how it’s done.
Come and go as needed
If you need to step out, that’s okay—just come back! Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.” Worship is both individual and communal, and we all learn from one another when we worship together. If your child needs a break, you can try a walk in the narthex or even a lap around the building.
Most of all—don’t give up. This is all part of the process of learning, growing, and belonging in community together.
