Paper Pantry

At Lutheran Church of Our Savior, we believe that caring for our neighbors is an expression of God’s love in action. One of the ways we live out this calling is through The Paper Pantry, a ministry dedicated to providing essential household and hygiene items to individuals and families in our community.

While food pantries help address hunger, many necessary products—like laundry detergent, toothpaste, toilet paper, and feminine hygiene supplies—are not covered by government assistance programs. The Paper Pantry exists to fill this gap, helping ensure that everyone can live with dignity and care for themselves and their families.

Each month, we serve more than 150 individuals and families in need. Volunteers from the congregation and community come together to sort, pack, and distribute these items with kindness and compassion, reflecting Christ’s call to love and serve one another.

When and Where:

The Paper Pantry is open on the first Thursday of each month from 4:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 12 Franklin Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050.

How to Receive Assistance:

To receive items from the Paper Pantry, individuals must have a referral from a partnering agency, such as:

  • St. Stephen's Episcopal Church
  • Landmark on Main HDFC
  • Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church
